The Byre, by Tolquhon Castle - Sleeps 8
Excellent views
These four fabulous houses have been sympathetically converted from old farm buildings and stables to provide excellent accommodation for a family holiday in peaceful surroundings. Each house has its own private garden and has been cleverly designed to ensure privacy. The very spacious accommodation is warm and very comfortable (with air source heating and woodburners) and the ample living areas provide plenty of space to relax or enjoy family gatherings.
The Stables is a lovely spacious property with high ceilings and a woodburner, while The Barn and The Byre are great family houses with lovely views and plenty of room. The Coach House features a super master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and rolltop bath.
The properties are next to Tolquhon Gallery and Tolquhon Castle - known as one of the most pictureque castles in Grampian. This is castle country and there are many to explore in the area. There are many golf courses at hand, while Pitmedden Gardens and Haddo House are close by. Within easy reach of Balmedie Beach, Cruden Bay and Forvie Sands. Aberdeen is just half an hours drive.

Customer Reviews of The Byre, by Tolquhon Castle - Sleeps 8
1st comment: Lovely spacious cottage furnished to a high standard. Highly recommended! Aug 2011.
2nd comment: We travelled as a family myself my husband daughter and her two young children,we booked the cottage mainly to visit relatives in the Aberdeen area, but it came in very handy to go to some tourist places castles ect,the cottages were much better than expected and had the weather been nice to us we could of just sat in the garden and enjoyed the views.Hopefully will be booking again for next year.cottage was very spacious with every thing you need, all the little extras like tea, coffee, milk in the fridge all made a difference as we got stuck in a traffic jam on the way there and arrived late.
