Beautifully positioned on an elevated site, this charming country cottage enjoys lovely views south over the Ythan Valley and the village to the rolling landscape of rural Aberdeenshire. On a working farm, the cottage has been completely rebuilt and re-fitted to a very high standard providing superb contemporary accommodation within a traditional exterior. The open plan living area has an open fire and connects to a lovely conservatory with patio doors. All rooms are on ground level and the cottage is wheelchair friendly with portable ramps available. There is a well-kept enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture. Private water supply.
The pretty little village of Methlick is 2 miles by road or 1 mile on a picturesque footpath and it has a shop and inn set around the river and the park. The famous Castle Trail is easily accessible as are the beaches and picturesque fishing villages of the Moray Firth coast, Royal Deeside and the Glen Garioch Distillery visitor centre. Local activities include golf, angling, riding and walking. Aberdeen (25 miles) offers excellent leisure facilities and shopping.

"Peaceful and Fantastic views across the valley a place to return"
Methlick village ammenities include Garage, General store(handy for stocking up the fridge) and the Ythanview Hotel. The Hotel serves the most fantastice food and good selection of beers, the staff are very friendly. A must visit for meals or just a quite drink. Places of interest Fyvie village a few miles from methlick has a wonderful castle and gardens, although the castle was pink it has now faded but still worth visiting. Collieston If you head east towards Ellon it is on the coast, a small fishing village which is set in a cove very peaceful and views out to the north sea.
