Moray
Moray sits north of of Aviemore and south east of Inverness. This is part of the great castle and whisky lands of Scotland. If you are a castle nut, then this is home to a greater concentration of castles per mile than anywhere in the world.
Moray is an ancient title, but the local council area is relatively new and subsumes a number of older areas like Banffshire.
The geography combines the moor uplands of the Grampian massif with the coastal plain and fishing villages of the Moray Firth.
