Small museum housed in the old ice rooms that illustrates and explores the Salmon fishing trade in the North Sea of yesteryear.
This tiny little museum chronicles both Portsoy and also the industries that used to sustain the port in the past. There is an emphasis on the hard work that went into the fishing trade both off and on shore as well as smuggling and the lime kilns. There are tools, old boats and lots on information that will help bring Portsoy to life and help you imagine what it once was like in its heyday.
