Rait
The visitor guide to Rait in Perthshire with information about the town, attractions in the town, accommodation and hotels in Rait.
Rait is a small but beautiful, largely residential village in the Braes of Gowrie in Perthshire. The village overlook the low lying Carse of Gowrie and the River Tay beyond. Standing north of a minor road crossing the sidlaw Hills through the Glen of Rait, the village is seven miles north east of Perth. The en routes inside Rait are usually not used to go to anywhere else, so it helps in account of the survival of a settlement extremely charming. There is a large farm steading at the east end of Rait, which was built in 1837. Recently, this has been converted to become the Rait Antiques Centre.
