Balquhidder
The forlorn village, set in a beautiful and remote Highlands landscape, Balquhidder - the home of legends is a village located at the Eastern end of Loch Voil in Scotland. The place at one time has witnessed many clan battles which took place here. Balquhidder pronounced as Baile-chuil-tir” means ‘the distant farm’.
It is just 12 miles from the A84 deflecting to the south of Lochearnhead. Balquhidder better known as the home of legendry folk hero Rob Roy MacGregor also called Scottish Robin Hood.

The main attraction here is the Ancient Kinghouse Hotel which was established in 1779 its the best place for tourist to enjoy a luxurious stay. Balquhidder has an air of haunting beauty which lends itself to all the fictional and factual tales.
