Dalmellington a market town located in Ayrshire, South West of Scotland sits on the banks of River Doon on the A713. It is between Ary and Castle Douglas which better known as The Galloway Tourist Route. This town has been a centre of hill farms and picturesque surroundings along the hillside. It was also a weaving centre and mining village with large open cast coal mines in the region. The railway line from Ayr serves as the route for the coal supplies.
