The Old Stables, nr Dundee, sleeps 4
These two delightful stone built holiday cottages, (refs 27170 and 27171), have been thoughtfully converted from former stables into lovely cosy accommodation. Situated on a working farm, they have been beautifully styled with contemporary furnishings and make a great base to explore this lovely area. For family groups they can be booked together, or alternatively, they make a good choice for couples. There are several good golf courses, fishing, including sea fishing, and other country sports establishments, all within a short drive, or you may prefer the superb walking available in the nearby Angus Glens. There are plenty of activities in the city of Dundee, 4 miles, from country parks at Clatto and Camperdown, to ice skating, cinema, leisure pool and HMS Discovery. St Andrews, Perth and the East Neuk of Fife are all well worth a visit or alternatively indulge in some retail therapy in Dundee’s shopping centres. The villages and towns strung out on the coast from Broughty Ferry to Montrose offer clean beaches and local produce, notably the famous Smokies from Arbroath. Shop 1 mile, pub 11/2 miles, restaurant 2 miles.

Elec cooker. M/wave. W/machine. D/washer. F/freezer. Sitting-out area. Shared gravelled and lawned area. BBQ. Parking (3 cars). Pets free of charge - must be kept on lead (working farm). No smoking. Easy walking access.
All on ground floor: Living room with French doors/kitchen with tiled floor. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin, both with French doors. Shower room with toilet.

1st comment: Very comfortable accomodation, everything we needed especially, having a 20 month old daughter with us! Very welcoming and friendly hosts, log burner does use a lot of logs but can purchase from owners as well as fresh eggs from the farm! Never used electric heaters as property is new and very well insulated and warm with log burner! May 2012.
2nd comment: Close to Dundee but could be anywhere as it is secluded. Very well kept and comfortable. I would strongly recommend. April 2012.
3rd comment: Excellent accommodation, finished to a very high standard. A very warm welcome from Margaret and Neil, very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the woodburning stove,warm and cosy. Cottage in a super location for nearby attractions in Dundee as well as exploring coastal towns and villages. Feb 2012.
