3rd comment: A fabulous cottage! Clean, comfortable and very homely. We were there during the "stormy weather" of December but cottage was very warm and cosy. Everything you could need had been thought of. Spectacular views of the water. Excellent if you have dogs as you only have to go across the road and you are straight onto coast with lovely walks where dogs could run freely. Parking very easy (straight outside). Would definitely recommend this cottage. Dec 2011.

4th comment: This was our first visit to a Welcome cottage, and what a welcome! The property, location and even weather were all fantastic. The firth is literally across the road and our 3 dogs loved it and we would happily live there permanently... enough said! Oct 2011.

7th comment: We enjoyed our second visit to Solway View, the views are wonderful. Visited Threave Estate Gardens and also their nature walk taking in view of Ospreys on their nest across River Nith. House very comfortable and well equipped. Many lovely places to visit in the area. June 2011.

8th comment: This was one of the best properties we have stayed in with the dog. There was space and it was clean and comfortable. The immediate location was brilliant for walking in the morning and evening before we ventured out. We could choose the beachline or the river. May 2011.

Upon arrival we were met by a coffee and tea tray in the kitchen and in the lounge and dining room the table was very nicely laid out for dinner and all the Chirstmas decorations were up. Nov 2010.
