A little further afield ferries take you from Ardrosson and Stranraer to Arran or Northern Ireland for the day. Board the famous Waverley steamer for a scenic trip down the Clyde and be back in time for a dip in the pool. Prestwick Airport 1 hours drive. Glasgow Airport is just 1½ hour away. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 10 miles.
