Customer Reviews of Anniston Farmhouse Cottage, Inverbervie - Sleeps 4
"A first class cottage furnished to a very high standard."
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and the cottage was superb and spotless. The local small fishing port of Dourden has a nice pub, fish shop with cafe recommended by Marco Pierre Whyte and a smoke house selling wet fish and crab to die for. We visited Glamis Castle (superb) and Balmoral, there is a fantastic beach and nature reserve at nearby St Sirus.

"Anniston Farmhouse Cottage at Inverbervie"
On arrival we received a much welcome pot of tea and cake by the owner who also gave us some friendly and useful advice on the property and surrounding area. The 2 bedroom cottage has a fantastic view of the countryside. It is spacious, nicely furnished and clean with a fresh vase of flowers on arrival. The farm is located on the outskirts of Inverbervie which has some basic local amenities such as a fish & chip shop and Co-op for food provisions. We found the location an ideal base for touring by car and included a mix of activities such as visits to Royal Deeside, St Cyrus Beach, Stonehaven Old Harbour, Dunottar Castle and aberdeen City. If the weather had been kinder we would have been able to enjoy the lovely courtyard garden more.

"Relaxing"
The accommodation was a converted farm steading and had been very well done. The finish was excellent with en-suite and a whirlpool bath. The welcome was warm and service and advice were easy to access. We saw plenty of wildlife and there were plenty of small towns nearby (eg Montrose) and Dundee and aberdeen were not too far away. Royal Deeside is worth a look and at Loch Muick there were roaring stags by the road.
