6th comment: Excellent position for getting about the county. Easy reach for dog walks. The Mad Hatter Cafe, Castle Douglas just below the free car park and next to Lloyds TSB is very very dog friendly. June 2011.
7th comment: Relaxed and comfortable very friendly owners - lovely countryside - only drawback was extra large heavy gate, had to have help with it. Ideal for young people - nice walking area for dogs - and they are welcomed. May 2011.
8th comment: We were more than delighted with every aspect of our stay at Four Mile Cottage. From the warm and friendly welcome from the owner on our arrival till the moment when we had to say our farewells on leaving. The cottage was spotless, the furnishings so comfortable and all our needs provided for. We hope to return to Four Mile Cottage in the future and will happily recommend it to our friends as a first-class holiday cottage. Oct 2010.
