Beach Cottage, Port William, sleeps 4

1st comment: Lovely cottage in a quiet village, perfect for escaping for a week. Great base for exploring this part of Scotland. March 2012.

4th comment: Ideal property as a base to tour the beautiful and picturesque area of the country. The accommodation is quaint and comfortable. The owners live next door but do not interfere and are handy to address any issues you may have.......the welcoming tray is above and beyond. An excellent place to get away from the stresses of modern life, to revisit family values and take much needed exercise for the family and the dog. Oct 2011.

7th comment: This cottage was well equipped. The owners, who lived next door, were delightful - provided us with home baked scones, cakes and vases of flowers. The garden was beautiful - shared with the owners but this was not a problem. The village is quiet but amazingly friendly. There are a limited number of things to do in the area - might be a problem if the weather is bad. Dogs are welcomed in the cottage but they cannot be exercised in the garden - there is a large field across the road to the cottage so this was not a problem. Local beaches are stoney - not ideal for children. Sandy beaches are a short drive away. July 2011.

13th Comment A comfortable and welcoming cottage. All the amenities were exactly as described and the welcome tray of scones and tea/coffee was much appreciated. Owners Dave and April were friendly and helpful, and their garden is spectacular. Our dogs loved the proximity to the shore and the surrounding countryside. 17th Comment Beach Cottage is in a superb location - we loved the sea views and the playground outside our front door. The warmth of the welcome was outstanding, and Port William is a very friendly place - a bit 1950s / Enid Blyton, really. Perfect for kids. The cottage itself isn’t centrally heated, and we stayed during some cold weather, but that didn’t matter - we had a great time. Feb 2010.

19th Comment For the price of this property we considered it excellent. The property had everything we needed even a reasonable set of golf clubs! Written "rules" of the property were clear and friendly using the word do rather than "don’t". Super value and we would certainly highly recommend this property to our friends. Oct 2009.
