Scotland's first sculpture park opening in 2012 in Argyll near Colintraive.
Caol Ruadh is a late Victorian house (meaning ‘red house on the narrows’), an unmissable landmark, on the Kyles of Bute on Scotland's west coast.
The 20 acre estate is a mixture of native woodland, creative landscaped gardens, wide open expanses with views over the Kyles and natural rugged rock formations. The frequent and fast changing weather pattern creates a rich palette of colours, moods and light.
Owner Karen Scotland has always wanted to use her dramatic home and gardens as a setting for sculpture and 2012 sees her achieve that dream.
