This lovingly restored cottage, located in the heart of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and offers beautifully presented holiday accommodation. Carrick Castle is a small village situated on the banks of Loch Goil, with stunning views and its own ruined 15th century Tower House on the shore line. A superb location offering pony trekking, walking and cycle paths over the beautiful countryside where eagles and deers roam. Nearby Drimsynie Holiday Park has activities available such as swimming, golf and play areas, Loch Goil has many watersports. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 5 miles.

1st comment: A really beautiful cottage set in truly wonderful scenery. Perfect place to relax and get away from the world (no mobile phone signal for miles). The cottage is a real home from home, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and has been decorated to a really high standard. Highly recommended. Sept 2011.
2nd comment: A fab cottage, very clean and well looked after. A very remote location so make sure you are wells tocked up although there is a very good cost cutter at the local holiday park. Also make sure you have dishwasher tablets and bin bags. Aug 2011.

4th comment: We enjoyed a wonderful week at Woodend Cottage - an idyllic haven to completely relax and unwind. The cottage was well equipped, very comfortable with modern facilities. We recommend a visit to Inveraray Castle and Benmore Botanical Gardens. Good mountain walks from the cottage and to Carrick Castle and beyond. June 2011.

7th comment: Woodend Cottage is the perfect location if you want to get away from your busy day to day life which may be run with computers and mobiles etc. Its tranquille location is very relaxing and quiet with the most beautiful views all round. Great walks to the Castle and all along the Loch. Be prepared it is a way away from shops and the main road so make sure you have supplies with you. All in all a perfect get away. NB: very poor or no mobile signal!!! March 2011.
