Customer Reviews of The Knowe, Tichnabruaich - Sleeps 5
st comment: We had a great week in this very comfortable cottage. It is in a quiet location yet within easy walking distance of the local shop, the post office and various eating places. The accommodation is excellent with great character and is well equipped. Tighnabruaich was a good base for trips to the Isle of Bute; Dunoon and the Argyll Forest Park; the ferry to the Kintyre peninsula and more local gems such as the beach at Kilbride Bay. April 2012.
nd comment: Really good location except that it is a good drive, on single track road with passing places, to get to the next main road. But this did keep the village quiet which is what we wanted. Aug 2011.
rd comment: Excellent cottage, beautiful views, owner a very helpful and pleasant lady to talk to. Could not have wished for a better holiday. Will be planning a holiday back next year. Aug 2011.
th comment: Lovely old cottage with good size accommodation and a view of the Kyles of Bute, although slightly restricted by the house in front. Very quiet & peaceful village with adequate shops and places to eat.The owner greeted us on arrival and couldn’t have been more welcoming. June 2011.
th comment: Lovely house in super area, all that was described in the brochure - weather was not great for May but then that can’t be helped in Scotland what ever the time of year. May 2011.
th comment: Cottage perfectly clean and well equipped, 100 m from the shore. Cute Ccottish village and wild and green area around (we even saw 3 hinds in the garden one evening !). Very nice welcome from the owner too. April 2011.
th comment: Good location with views, good access to local facilities. Sept 2010.
th comment: It felt like a home, very comfortable, masses of appliances, dog friendly, comfy beds, it wasn’t haunted (unlike a previous property!!), beautiful views, large garden for the dog and in good decoration order and spotlessly clean. Aug 2010.
