These two Scandinavian style holiday lodges boast a stunning beachfront location overlooking the Kyles of Bute and are situated close to Tighnabruaich village on the west coast of Scotland and offer 66 acres of natural, unspoilt countryside to explore. With coastal walks direct from the property, sailing school (must be pre booked) sea fishing from the point, slipway for boat launching and childrens play park, all on site. Customer Reviews of Sandpiper Lodge - Tighnbruaich - Sleeps 6
st comment: Fab location, beautiful views, lots of wildlife to see. It was so peaceful sitting on the decking veranda watching the boats sail past & the quiet is so relaxing. Very friendly people who run the site & the locals are so friendly wherever you go. The Sandpiper lodge was a home from home, very comfortable & lived in. The two bathrooms, (bath & shower) & two toilets made the lodge very relaxing, no fights over who gets the bath or loo!! The Sandpiper was a fab base for sightseeing, lots of places to visit within an hour or two drive. The lovely sheltered beach is only 30 yards away, with excellent beachcomber opportunities! We all thoroughly enjoyed our two week break. July 2011.
nd comment: The Sandpiper lodge was perfect for our family to relax and unwind. It was very comfortable, homely and well equipped. The bed linen was lovely, good quality and immaculately clean. The view from the balcony was lovely although we did not have good enough weather to sit out on it - midges would have eaten us if it had been - come prepared with candles! Lovely holiday destination. June 2011.
rd comment: We liked the decoration and furniture, the views of the sea, and the fact that it had two bathrooms. The deck was a nice feature, and the garden area to one side was quite private. It was easy to park beside the cabin. May 2010.
th comment: Our accommodation was fantastic. It was clean, fresh and in extremely good condition, even although pets were welcome. We had two dogs with us and with the veranda that could be made secure they had loads of freedom and settled very well. The beds were really comfortable (a very pleasant surprise), the kitchen facilities were excellent and nice touch with a tea towel and dishwasher tablets. The kind of things that are easily forgotten. The sitting area had a cosy feel with the fire on but still felt spacious. Finally having two toilets, a bath and a shower meant that there was no queuing! I would happily recommend Sandpiper to anybody or family that were considering a self catering holiday. Oct 2009.
