The Cooperage Apartment, Leith Shore - Sleeps 2/4
The Cooperage is a late 18th Century building, situated on the banks of the Water of Leith. The building was converted into flats in 1985 and this charming ground floor apartment retains many of the original features including wooden beams and stone pillars. A delightful feature are the patio doors in the bedroom which open out onto the cobbled wharf on the banks of the river.
The recently renovated apartment is smart, modern and freshly decorated, providing a comfortable holiday home in a unique waterside location. Private parking. This is a pleasant, quiet location adjacent to the lively Leith Shore and a short walk from Commercial Wharf. The Royal Yacht Britannia is just 5 mins. away and well worth a visit, as is the Ocean Terminal shopping and leisure complex.
The area has a very 'Continental' atmosphere with an exciting choice of restaurants and wine bars. Princes Street (1.5 miles) is easily accessible by public transport and for shopping, Leith (10 minutes walk) has excellent facilities.
1 double bedroom (cot available on request), comfortable double bed settee in the lounge/kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath. All electric. Fridge, microwave, auto washing machine, television, hi-fi.
Bed linen and towels are provided.

"Very enjoyable stay"
The accommodation is in a quiet area and as it states in the ad only 10 minutes away from town centre. The accommodation itself was clean and tidy had everything we needed during our stay there. The owner left us a guide for the accommodation which was very helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay, if in the area again will definitely stay again.

"Enjoy!"
Set in beautiful surrounding and a lovely apartment. We have enjoyed ourselves very much. My husband loved the fact that it was an old cooperage. It was perfect that you could park the car behind the building. The nights were very quiet, we have heard the seagulls. The buss stop nearby was also very helpful. If we were to visit Edinburgh again we would for sure rent this apartment again. 2 minor points of criticism. I would suggest another dining table and chairs (eg fusion from Ikea), these are too unstable with two kids who move much. Furthermore the television receiver seems to be broken, sometimes we were without sound. The service was perfect. I especially liked the fact that the keys were sent to our house, and you could return them by post in included envelop. Overall we have had a lovely holiday and enjoyed ourselves very much! Highly recommended!
