Customer Reviews of Solwayside House, nr Castle Douglas - Sleeps 9
1st comment: Soloway House is a wonderful place, for a large family...great value for money! It used to be an hotel, hence the majority of rooms have en-suite facilities. The heating consists of quite a few old storage heaters, but once we got them regulated (took till the third day!!) temperature was perfect and house was very cosy. Next door there is the Smugglers Inn where you get the most delicious food! This house is good value, some people complained about dated appearance etc, but for a 5 bedded property which is comfortable and has everything you need, I’m not sure what they were expecting for this price?! We had a lovely holiday! March 2012.
2nd comment: This property was ideal for our extended family holiday, the beds were comfy and the rooms were clean and bright! The area is second to none for walking, beach combing and bear hunts!!!!! We had a wonderful week and will be back! If you have youngsters....or even oldsters come to that Cream o’Galloway is a great visit and the ice cream is wonderful! Aug 2011.
