This traditional semi-detached cottage enjoys a commanding view over the locks of the Caledonian Canal and across Loch Ness beyond. Just a minutes walk away from all the amenities in the centre of the village. Situated in the heart of the Great Glen, the village is an excellent holiday location for exploring the delights of Loch Ness, Inverness, Fort William, the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’ and the scenic western Highlands. Fantastic forest trails for mountain biking, walking and an abundance of wildlife. Shops, pubs and restaurants 50 yards.
Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 single. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.
Woodburner in living room (initial fuel inc). Economy 7 CH, elec, bed linen and towels inc. T/cot and h/chair on request. DVD and small library. CD. Elec cooker. M/wave. W/machine. T/dryer. F/freezer. Small lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. No smoking. NB: Drops within grounds.

2nd comment: The cottage facilities are excellent, but should you wish to visit during the warmer weather, the garden area leaves a little to be desired. Overall, it is a real home from home. Sept 2011.
3rd comment: We were met on arrival by the owner of the property who went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even though due to traffic problems we were very late in arriving. The cottage looked wonderful, extremely clean, very well furnished with everything that we could possibly want, including a basket of complimentary milk, teas and coffees which were a nice little extra. The towels and bedding were of a very high quality and very well presented, the cottage was very warm and cosy, especially at night when the wind and rain howled around. We couldn’t have asked for more and indeed it proved to be the best holiday that we have ever had, even the bad weather couldn’t spoil it. Oct 2010.

8th comment: The cottage is ideally located for shops, pubs, proximity to the canal - locks, walks and boat-watching! Good facilities in Fort Augustus, as well as public transport and many beautiful scenic drives. Cottage is spacious and clean. The kitchen has cooker, w/m and t/dryer - essential. Could be better equipped with crockery, cutlery, utensils and pots/pans. Sept 2009.
