This 19th century semi-detached holiday cottage is in a quiet location on the edge of Dalbeattie, with stunning views over surrounding hills. Over the garden wall lie miles of walks through Dalbeattie Wood which forms part of the 7 Stanes mountain biking network, leading to the Colvend Coast.
Galloway Forest Park offers glorious scenery and wildlife, including the Red Kite Trail. The Galloway Hills are within easy reach. Locally are quiet beaches, golf, riding, fishing and watersports.
Castle Douglas, Gatehouse of Fleet, Kirkcudbright, and Wigtown are within driving distance. Guests have discounted rates at Dalbeattie Golf Club which is under a mile away.
Shop, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

Lawned garden with patio and furniture. On road parking. Welcome pack. No smoking. NB: There are sloping banks and an unfenced pond in the garden.

The cottage was clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the information provided by the owners was invaluable. 5th comment: Great location if you wish to go cycling or walking in Dalbeattie forest. Walk to town which has all amenities, would recommend for families with older children as the bathroom is located downstairs. Overall lovely little cottage which would definitely return to. May 2011.

18th Comment I felt the location of the property was excellent enabling us to easily tour SW Scotland. Very clean and modern but with a homely feel. My only complaint would be the master bedroom got very warm at night due to the nature of the building. July 2009.
