Situated on a working farm and boasting stunning, panoramic views of the surrounding area, these three single-storey barn conversions have their own private hot tubs and enjoy a peaceful, secluded location with over 400 acres of natural countryside to explore from the door. Situated only a few hundred yards from the world class Dalbeattie 7 Stanes mountain trail, it is a popular location for mountain bikers of all levels.There are various walks available, from scenic coastal walks to marked forest trails. With sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports close by there is sure to be something for everyone. Warmed by the Gulf Stream there are many beautiful gardens to visit, including Threave Gardens (NT), historical sites and castles to explore. The Solway coast has many extensive sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore, with many traditional fishing villages and harbour ports. Kirkcudbright, the artists’ town, has art galleries, antique shops, museums and shops while Castle Douglas, Scotland’s Food Town, is a traditional market town with many local foods available. Shops and pub 1½ miles.

2nd comment: Lovely cottages, hot tub was great! Great for anyone into mountain biking or the outdoors as there is lots to do nearby, if not you can just relax in the hot tub! Would recommend the cottages to anyone looking for a great weekend away. Feb 2012.
