Situated only a few hundred yards from the world class Dalbeattie 7 Stanes Mountain Trail, it is a popular location for mountain bikers of all skill levels.There are various walks available, from scenic coastal walks to marked forest trails. With sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports close by there is sure to be something for everyone. Warmed by the Gulf Stream there are many beautiful gardens to visit, including Threave Gardens (NT), historical sites and castles to explore. The Solway coast has many extensive sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore, with many traditional fishing villages and harbour ports. Kirkcudbright, the artists’ town, has art galleries, antique shops, museums and shops while Castle Douglas, Scotland’s Food Town, is a traditional market town with many local foods available. Shops and pub 1½ miles.

5th comment: For 3 adults this accommodation was easy to keep clean and tidy. It would have been a little easier if there had been a few more plates and also suitable containers for using the microwave, as it was with only basically 3 of everything, it was not practical to use the dishwasher.
