This luxury log cabin is situated in a small select group of 10 with open views across the hills and Solway Firth to the Lake District.
This beautiful bright and sunny holiday home has a traditional timber frame with blocked walls lined in timber cladding and timber flooring. Specially designed for warmth and comfort and finished to a good standard.
One of its two sets of patio doors leads to a terrace, ideal for dining al fresco. Adjacent to a golf course there is a golden beach just 1 mile away, a championship links golf course, riding, marked coastal walks, sea and local fishing (permits available), and bicycle hire all within easy reach. Dalbeattie is 8 miles, Dumfries 20 miles.
Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

5th comment: Plenty of wildlife on your doorstep, ideal for birdwatching with RSPB reserve close by. Some good animal farms close by also. Short walk down to lovely beach for kids. Yet again very pleased on our 2nd visit. Very nice log cabin set in very scenic surroundings and very peaceful. Only very slight disappointment with driveway up to cabin, rough terrain. Will visit again! Aug 2009.

Credit to the owners with the furnishings and equipment available, I don’t think they forgot anything. Will recommend to friends and family. The house was so lovely - loads of room, everything you could need was supplied and so clean and well presented and the views from the house were breathtaking. 13th Comment This accommodation is ideal for those needing to relax. There are many good golf courses and lots of forest and coastal walks. The people in neighbouring towns are friendly which makes the whole holiday experience enjoyable and relaxing. This is my second time on this holiday so that must mean something! Oct 2007.

Sandyhills and Rockcliffe beaches are within easy reach and are clean and quiet, and the Barons Crag Hotel, Rockcliffe offers fine dining and an amazing menu. New Abbey Tearooms and Sweetheart Abbey are well worth a visit. Oct 2007.
