Interesting little museum in Bettyhill that chronicles the histories of the very far north of Scotland from the Norse through the clearances to the present day. Espeical focus on Clan Mackay and local Gaelic customs.
Small museum housed in the erstwhile local chapel that tells the tale of local history and explores the different forces that have shaped the local area including the heartbreak of the Clearances which destroyed the local communities. There is an interesting pictish stone in the graveyard outside.
Only needs a short visit, although you will find yourself fascinated by the stories from the past.
Well worth a stop - (BTW pub next door and beach for walking)
