One of the World's most spectacular entertainment events unveil in the form of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Over 1000 artists from four continents will pay rich tributes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee and the year of Creative Scotland.
This year marks the Diamond Jubilee of Edinburgh’s Royal Military Tattoo. It takes place within the grounds of Edinburgh Castle from August 6-28, with daily performances (two on Saturdays) from talent including military bands, pipers, gymnasts and a motorcycle display team. If you have not tickets yet, you won't get any, but a cheap way to enjoy the Tattoo is to stand in the street once the performance is started and watch the soldiers march pup to the Castle and then pop into a pub nearby.
