The house near Banchory is a well preserved 16th century tower house that has been in the possession of various families over the ages and is now owned by a direct descendant of the prime minister WE Gladstone who have turned it into a holiday home and a self catering rental (and a very smart and fashionable one at that)
The interior is entirely modern and only the exterior retains the traditional architecture. There are no interesting historical connections.
