Customer Reviews of The Old Sunday School nr Castle Douglas, sleeps 4

st comment: We love the area around Dumfries and Galloway. The accommodation is a home from home, and we were very comfortable. The location was good, we got to see quite a lot of the area without travelling too far. We got some good walks in, particularly coastal walks. Oct 2011.

nd comment: The cottage was very comfortable. The living areas were spacious and sofas comfortable (not always the case!). We found the cottage easy to maintain, it was quiet and location super. Bed and bedding also very comfortable - bed was the right side of firm - perfect for us! It is a lovely area which is so easy to relax in - superb coastal walks nearby - walk from Balcary Bay to Rascarrel is a must. Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas are lovely towns to visit. If you have time it really is worth visiting Wigtownshire and the Mull of Galloway. The only downside - if it matters to anyone - is that there is no broadband access and mobile reception patchy! March 2011.

rd comment: Property was very clean with fresh milk, cheese and flowers provided. Feb 2010.

th comment: Excellent base for traveling round the area, the property was furnished to a high standard and had some extra special touches including a great welcome pack. Oct 2009.

th comment: Quiet, very well appointed & spotlessly clean & very thoughtful, welcoming touches. Oct 2009.

th comment: Excellent bright decor, modern with all required utensils. Oct 2009.

th comment: Excellent location with a high standard of cleanliness and facilities. Sept 2009.

th comment: This is an excellent place to stay in a very convenient situation. It offers peace and quiet and a real sense of "getting away from it all". The house was well appointed with all facilities well arranged and in excellent condition. The garden, though simple was very adequate for our needs. July 2009.

th comment: The photos don’t really do the Old School House justice. It is a super building with a lot of character, much larger than the impression given by the photos, and superbly equipped. We had a fantastic time, the local area is very beautiful, and if you like mountain biking there are some great trails. Would strongly recommend it, you wouldn’t be disappointed. July 2008.

th comment: The property was exactly what we were looking for traditional on the outside and modern inside. It was decorated and equipped to a very high standard. The kitchen was outstanding and the log burning stove in the sitting room was an lovely feature. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return in the near future. Oct 2008.

th Comment Extremely helpful and most friendly vendors who have put much effort into the cleanliness and maintenance of this holiday home. Everything is catered for in this very quiet and peaceful location which is kept to an immaculate standard. Will return at a later date. July 2007.

th Comment We had a lovely time at The Old Sunday School - it’s a perfect spot for a peaceful Scottish break - we’d prefer in fact to keep it a big secret!! Sept 2007.
