Sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and watersports nearby. Visit the many gardens, or explore historical sites and castles. The Solway Coast has sandy beaches and rocky coves, with traditional fishing villages and harbours. Close to the Galloway Forest Park, which was awarded ’Dark Sky Park’ status in 2009, and central to five of the 7 Stanes, it is a popular location for cyclists and mountain bikers.
