Customer Reviews of Rowan Cottage, Benmore - Sleeps 4-5
1st comment: Cottage very comfortable, very well equipped even a rain coat and fluorescent jacket in wardrobe. Had to hunt for tumble dryer as in the shed. Sept 2011.
2nd comment: Property was good. The layout takes getting used to, with the bathroom at the rear off the kitchen. The garden is not as secure as we thought, our dog found a hole from the main back garden into the rear extension. I found the patio door facing the driveway very hard to lock - the key wouldnt fit from the outside, so I ended up locking it from the inside (turn the key then give the handle another pull up before the key will fully lock the door) and using the patio door into the garden. Sept 2011.
3rd comment: Lovely cottage - lots of homely extras and a handy stock of basic cooking ingredients like spices, herbs, salt etc. Conservatory was a godsend in the wet week we had. The garden is beautiful, especially the ’secret garden’ at the back - fantastic for dogs. Great views & doorstep access to lots of fantastic walks - a must visit is Benmore Botanic Gardens which are 5 mins walk up the road. Best way to get to and from cottage is via Western Ferries which run between Gourock and Dunoon - 20 min trip which saves an 80 mile drive from Glasgow. Sept 2011.
