In beautiful, peaceful surroundings with far reaching views to the Solway Firth, this wonderfully secluded cottage offers the perfect location for a relaxed holiday. The cottage is adjacent to the owners' home, 1ΒΌ miles up a single track road and is only a couple of miles away from the tranquil village of Kirkinner. The property has its own secluded private garden with patio furniture and lovely rural views. This comfortable, cosy cottage has a welcoming atmosphere.
Guests in the cottage can enjoy outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, bird-watching, fishing and golf or take a day trip to Ireland from nearby Stranraer. There are lovely local walks, or head north to explore along the Southern Upland Way and into the Galloway Forest Park. The market town of Newton Stewart has shops, hotels and pubs whilst nearby Wigtown is famous for its book shops. On the west side of this peninsula known as The Machars, Port William was once famous for smuggling but now offers shelter to small fishing and leisure craft. To the south of Kirkinner, the award-winning visitor centre at Whithorn explains the fascinating history of the area and its importance as the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. Village pub 2 miles. Bladnoch distillery and Inn 3 miles.

Lower level: 1 twin bedroom, kitchen with dining table, shower-room. All electric with night storage heating. Cooker, fridge, washing machine, microwave, television, DVD player. Bed linen and towels are provided.
