Kings Stables nr Edinburgh Castle - Sleeps 2
A unique house in a fabulous historic setting at the foot of Edinburgh Castle, this unusual wedge shaped house is built onto the wall around St Cuthbert’s church, moments walk from Princes Street gardens. Formerly a school house and then the watchkeeper’s cottage, it is furnished in a dramatic, appropriately Gothic style, and only 270 yards from the West End. It is hard to imagine any more central a location. Restaurants, galleries, historic buildings and a Saturday farmer’s market are a few minutes’ walk. Shops 250 yards.
Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Living/dining room. Galley-style kitchen.

Customer Reviews of Kings Stables nr Edinburgh Castle - Sleeps 2
1st comment: Fantastic location a quiet little corner right in the middle of Edinburgh. May 2012.
2nd comment: A wonderful central location with quirky interior. Feb 2012.
3rd comment: The location of this property was superb. It is well located for doing all the "touristy" stuff. The interior decor was impressive and the view of the castle at night was amazing. Good use was made of the available space. The neighbours were very quiet (it is in the graveyard of the church). Nov 2011.
4th comment: Situated in a fantastic area, fantastic place, already booked again for june nxt year. Sept 2011.
5th comment: Location was fantastic. Aug 2010.
6th comment: The property was unique, a one-off. It was right in the centre of Edinburgh, walking distance to everywhere and a superb view of the castle. With parking a premium everywhere these days it was superb that we had our own space so that we could take the car on days out or leave it if walking around Edinburgh, without worrying about cost or whether it would still be there on our return! The pictures on the website were exactly as the premises looked, to be honest an excellent place to stay. July 2010.
7th comment: Location is the real point. June 2010.
8th comment: We enjoyed the location of the property, especially the silent neighbours!! Pretty cottage close to the grass market and castle. Bus stop nearby on Lothian road, buy a day ticket as its cheaper and enjoy exploring. June 2010.
