Customer Reviews of Hume Orchard Steading, nr Kelso - Sleeps 10-11
st comment: Property exceeded our expectations, very spacious and well-appointed. Were particularly impressed by the piano (although wish this had been mentioned in the literature - we would have taken our own music!). Kitchen was well equipped and tea/coffee/milk etc had been left for our arrival. Some parts of the property were a little cold (although to be fair it was February and well below freezing outside!). Fantastic place to stay - would definitely return. Feb 2012.
nd comment: A beautiful property - top tips if you choose to stay here (which you should) would be: a) if you’ve not used an aga before swot up a bit before hand on the do’s and don’ts and b) the owners keep little electric heaters in most bedroom cupboards - if you’re there out of season use these as the far lying rooms can get a bit chilly. Overall this is a fabulous property for a quiet retreat with a group of family or friends. I highly recommend it. March 2011.
rd comment: The kitchen: proper ’heart of the house’! The overall size was perfect and the gardens were beautiful and very child-friendly as they were so well enclosed. Sept 2010.
th comment: Excellently maintained in good location - delivered what we required. Oct 2010.
th comment: Spacious, excellent, immaculate property. A real home from home with an excellently equipped kitchen - everything you could possibly need! May 2010.
th comment: Quiet peaceful location, spacious but homely. Oct 2009.
th comment: The property was first class with the kitchen being the hub of all activity. Accommodation was spacious and welcoming. Although the party did not include any small children it was obvious that the house was very child friendly. An excellent choice for larger groups with or without children. April 2009.
