Customer Reviews of Gardener's Cottage, Crocketford - sleeps 4
st comment: Understandibly dogs on leads, bit tricky but worth it! Our Westie loved it, the grounds were beautiful! June 2012.
nd comment: A fabulous fairytale cottage, inside and out, this is a real treat. Fabric/furnishings were spotlessly clean and comfy. A real haven for wildlife in a gorgeous part of the country. July 2011.
rd comment: The cottage, garden, weather and wildlife on the estate made our short break in Scotland perfect. What better way to start your day than having breakfast in the garden watching the red squirrels (take some hazel nuts with you). What better way to end the day, drink in hand, relaxing in front of a roaring fire. April 2011.
th comment: We found the situation exceptionally good, in estate woodland, close to the main house on rising ground with extensive views to the south and west. We found access easy and trouble-free and the cottage itself very comfortable and well appointed. We appreciated the red squirrels, kites, woodland birds and the occasional hare and that the loudest sounds were the farmers quad bike, plus sheepdog (not barking!), the constant music of the rocky stream running through the garden and the occasional pheasant call. No doubt the rabbits could be a pest to the vegetable grower. Overall we loved the place and would recommend it to anyone likely to appreciate unpretentious comfort, decorative good taste, peace and quiet, and the country estate setting. March 2011.
th comment: A wonderful cottage, we have already talked about going back, the wild life is amazing we stayed in January but the cottage was warm and cosy. Jan 2011.
