In the beautiful and very scenic location of Duror, just a mile from the shore of Loch Linnhe, this 18th Century barn has been sympathetically converted into a charming holiday cottage with unique character. The cottage nestles amongst trees adjacent to the owner's home but with its own private access and enclosed landscaped garden with patio area and garden furniture to sit out and relax in tranquil surroundings. Finished to a very high standard and retaining period features , the cottage is extremely well-appointed and guests will leave this treasured property with wonderful memories . As all rooms are on the level, the property may suit some visitors with walking difficulties.
The spectacular surrounding area boasts many outdoor pursuits such as rock climbing, bird watching, hill-walking and cycling. Salmon and sea trout fishing can be arranged locally. It is an ideal base for day trips to Oban and ferries to the islands beyond, or for exploring the villages of the scenic West Coast. Shop ¼ mile, pub/hotel ½ mile and a choice of good restaurants in the vicinity.
1 double bedroom, 1 single bedroom, very comfortable lounge with double sofa bed, kitchen with dining area, lovely shower room. Cooking by gas, oil fired central heating. Fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, television, DVD player, video, CD player. Bed linen and towels are provided.
