Customer Reviews of Duror Cottage, Argyll - Sleeps 6
"Comfortable homely cottage"
Beautiful atmospheric 300 year old cottage with idyllic garden teaming with wild life. Furnishings comfortable and homely. Delicious cake and bottle of wine on table at arrival! Only 10minutes walk, by pavement, to stony beach at Cuil Bay - a photographer's dream. Ideally placed for touring Oban, Fort William, Mull, Glencoe etc. Nearest shop is 10-15 mins drive in Ballachulish. Although on main Oban to Fort William road, traffic noise was not an issue. The only slight gripe was that the shower head could do with being replaced. We will definitely use this cottage again.

"The birds in the garden were great"
The house was quite gloomy when we arrived, but once we had lit the fire and turned the lights on it was quite cosy. The impression I got was that the house was being slowly improved, as the bedrooms were lovely, but the bathroom and sitting room were a bit shabby. There was also limited storage in the second bedroom, and extra bedding etc was stored in that limited storage, reducing it further. The cottage was well equipped. The best thing was the birds in the garden - so many, and it was lovely having fat balls and seeds available to put out for them. Overall the cottage was a reasonable price for the standard of accommodation.

"Perfect weekend"
This is a lovely charming cottage not far from Loch Linnhe. The open fire was amazing and the best fire ever. ample logs were provided and we didn't run out of fuel. On arrival there was a lovely home baked cake sitting on the kitchen table which was delicous. If you are looking for modern accommodation then this is not for you. Part of the charm of staying at this cottage was that it was not modern, but at the same time had everything we needed and more to make it cosy and comfortable place to stay. The garden at the back was delightful with a little pond. We brought back lovely memories of our stay at Duror and Loch Linnhe and would have no hesitation of returning there and staying at this lovely cottage again.
