Coach House V, Kinfauns, Perthshire
Set amidst one of the most breathtaking and scenic views within Perthshire’s Tay Valley, these beautiful secluded properties nestle in the hillside above the historic 19th-century Kinfauns Castle, ideally situated to offer rural tranquillity yet swift access to one of Scotland’s most appealing cities. Originally created as the stables and coach houses for the castle, these traditional stone-built B listed buildings stand in a row in an attractive courtyard setting, and have been carefully restored to complement this glorious environment. An idyllic country holiday retreat offering guests seclusion with fantastic views, there are endless walking opportunities as well as touring, sightseeing and of course golf, to name but a few of the many leisure pursuits available in the immediate surroundings. Within easy walking distance are the criss-cross pathways of Corsiehill, Deuchny woods and Kinnoull Hill itself, which was donated to the people of Perth in 1924 by Lord Dewar, a name closely associated with the city’s whisky legacy. The land around Towerview Coach Houses included the historic Coronation Road which once carried Kings to and from nearby Scone Palace. The accommodation is situated just 2 miles from the heart of the Fair City of Perth, renowned for the quality of its restaurants, pubs, theatre, specialist shops, sprawling parklands, award-winning floral displays and scenic setting on the banks of the celebrated salmon river, the Tay. It is also just an hour’s drive to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Shops 2 miles.

Customer Reviews of Coach House V, Kinfauns, Perthshire
st comment: Excellent accommodation, very roomy for 6 adults and in an easy accessable location for sight seeing and partically if you are a keen golfer. Also really good for taking a walk straight out the front door. Nov 2010.
nd comment: Great location, lovely roomy property, pet friendly. Aug 2010.
rd comment: All rooms very well presented and superb furniture and fittings. Dec 2009.
th comment: This was our second stay in the cottage. One of our party is disabled and the cottage is particularly well suited to her needs. It is a lovely spacious well equipped cottage and the location is an excellent centre for touring. Speyside, Fife, the Trossachs, Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow and the Borders are all easy to get to for a day out. We had one small hiccup when we arrived because the seat for the disabled shower was missing and the poor mobile phone signal made it initially difficult to contact anyone for help. However, a text to the lady’s mobile phone brought an immediate response and we got the problem sorted out very quickly. Oct 2009.
th comment: Yes we would book the accommodation again. What a woulderful place to stay. Sept 2008.
th comment: Excellent accommodation close to centre of Perth. Modern facilities in a great setting. Aug 2009.
th comment: Property was everything that we hoped for. We were so delighted and enjoyed ourselves so much that we have decided to return next year. May 2008.
th comment: The cottage was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable and the location was excellent. We could have easily spent another week exploring Fife, Perthshire, Speyside, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh without running out of new places to visit. One of our party was disabled and the facilities for her were particularly good. There were three small steps down to the sitting room which would make it less suitable for a wheelchair user, but it is very good for someone with just a bit of difficulty walking, or difficulty with stairs. Most of the cottage, including a huge kitchen diner was on the flat, the short flight of stairs had good strong handrails on both sides and there was a fully adapted shower with a chair which was excellent. It was a really excellent cottage and we had a very nice week. Sept 2008.
th comment: Lovely house in a beautiful setting. Owners very thoughtful - had left milk in the fridge & supplied tea bags, coffee & sugar. House had everything you could possibly need. We felt very much at home there. May 2008.
th comment: The accommodation was brilliant in a lovely rural setting but with Perth right on our doorstep. Great walking also right on our doorstep. The fact that the cottage was decorated for Christmas was brilliant, that was a great touch that I hadn’t expected. The welcome mince pies, tea, coffee and milk were very welcome. Dec 2007.
th Comment Our visit to Perthshire was to celebrate our daughter’s 30th birthday and it was in every way a delightful stay and we have already booked to return in July 2008. Nov 2007.
th Comment Fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting, definitely a holiday to take away the stress of a hectic life. Aug 2007.
