Area of Edinburgh in the North of the city between Leith and the centre of town, located to the west of Leith Walk. Mainly residential
Pilrig is a mainly residential area of Edinburgh set inland from Leith Harbour and Granton. There is public park (Pilrig Park) which is popular with locals. There is a lovely old house of the park offering lovely apartments for holiday lets.
The whole area feels very off the beaten track although down the lanes you will find all sorts of interesting little spaces - The Biscuit Factory which is an artist's studio space with gallery. There is the Scotland Kilt company on Bonnington Road. Quite a fun cloth remnant shop at Remnant Kings. There is a local pub - the eponymous The Bonnington facing the cemetary.
