Lordscairnie Castle
Ruined single tower in the middle of field that was once loch. 4 storeys remain. Walk up and visit.
15th Century keep build by the Earls of Crawford and still standing 4 storeys high. Was once on islet on loch but the loch was drained in C19 century. The castle itself was abandoned sometime in the eighteenth century.
There was once a courtyard but little remains. The Castle is said tobe haunted by the Earl of Crawford who plays cards with the devil on New Years Eve.

Privately owned but you can walk up and visit.

Mile North west of Cupar on A913. Follow signs for Lordscairnie Country House. Stop there and should be visible from road in the field.
