Ballencrieff Castle
Built around 1507 and occupied until 1868 when it was burnt. restored in the 1990s, it is now occupied
It was destroyed again 1545 and then restored again and was the birthplace of General George Murray, governor of Canada. It was destroyed again 1868 and was roofless until its restoration in the 1990s. It is now a private home.
