This picturesque small town nestles on the south shore of the Firth of Forth and is beautifully overshadowed by the spectacular Forth Road and Rail Bridges. The historic town has its own museum, excellent shopping and very popular restaurants where you can enjoy magnificent views of the bridges, floodlit in the evening. The harbour and marina offer opportunities for water sports and boat trips can be taken to Inchcolm Island with its 12thC Abbey and unusual bird/wildlife. There are historic houses and stately homes to visit, a sports centre with swimming pool and this is an ideal base for touring and day trips. Edinburgh is easily accessible with an excellent train service (15 mins), and bus service.

This modern, semi-detached south facing family house is in a quiet cul-de-sac, and has a rear view to the bridges. The sunny, modern interior has been thoughtfully designed to be 'child friendly'. There is a safely enclosed garden to the rear where garden furniture and a gas barbecue are provided. Private parking.

1 double bedroom ( with digital TV), 1 room with single bunk above double bunk (cot and high chair available on request), living room (with double sofa bed), spacious kitchen, bathroom with shower over bath. Cooking by gas, gas central heating. Fridge/freezer, auto washing machine, microwave, digital Freeview television, radios, CD/DVD player. Bed linen and towels are provided by prior arrangement.

"Good accessibility to all Scottish locatons"

I spent a week here as I had work to conduct on the M8, M9 & M90 corridors, as well as aberdeen & Dundee. Access to the bridge and motorways is less than 5 minutes. A family home with welcoming neighbours and witiin easy walking distance of the town. A bus stop (direct into Edinburgh) is about 200 yards walk. House was very clean an tidy and we were made to feel welcome as we arrived and advised that if we required futher help to phone. Additional bonus discovered on arrival - access to Wifi!! Great site, very relaxed and the owner was very accomodating

"Wonderful place to stay"

This was a welcome sight after the drive up to Scotland, Mrs Ross was very helpful and friendly and was able to give us very useful tips for getting into Edinburgh city centre and a few sights to see whilst out and about. The house itself is located in a quiet road with lovely views of the Forth Bridge. It was very well equipped for all our needs, and was very clean and well looked after. A great place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding area!
