Heritage and arts centres, ancient monuments and castle ruins along with rugged cliffs, spectacular seastacks, big skies and long summer nights give Caithness a unique appeal.
Mountain biking, golf, pony trekking and a wide variety of watersports are available nearby, or simply take a stroll along one of the many unspoilt beaches.

1st comment: Amazing bungalow containing everything you could ever need. Very comfortable and homely. Lovely views and location - small garden perfect if the sun came out! The dining area however was a perfect substitute as the large picture window gave you the view without having to venture out into the weather! Was surprised to see a disabled bath in the property but no ramp on any of the outside doors - this would be a helpful addition in the future as would wi-fi! This is a wonderful place to stay and will definitely be making a return journey soon. April 2012.
2nd comment: This is a lovely property which is actually more spacious than we had imagined. It is in a very quiet area of the town and although our visit was in end of February, I’m sure in warmer weather it must be even nicer to be able to sit outside and enjoy the views of the river. Feb 2012.
