Customer Reviews of Moo Cottage, Isle of Skye - Sleeps 2

st comment: Everything had been thought of and the cottage was so pretty. Our first impressions were the best part as there was fresh flowers, coffee, tea, milk and shortbread waiting for us and even a fresh bar of soap in the bathroom as well as wood and kindling, firelighters etc for the wood burning stove which is just brilliant for a self catering property. It made us feel very welcome at the start of our holiday which was, relaxing and very comfortable at Moo cottage. April 2012.

nd comment: A very sweet little cottage, it was a great base for our holiday on Skye. I would say you might be glad of cosy clothes to wear as it is an old cottage, but don’t let that put you off! This is a really sweet cottage perfect for two people (and a dog!). We arrived to tea and biscuits and immediately lit a fire in the stove... perfect! If you haven’t been to Skye this is a really good base if you want to be a bit more rural, as it is so central on the island. We saw golden eagles and white tailed eagles from the hill beside the cottage... just a short climb and keep your eyes peeled! We would definitely recommend staying at Moo Cottage and hope to return one day. Feb 2012.

rd comment: We had a wonderful time on Skye. Moo cottage is quaint - a little cold until you have had the log burner running for a little while but it soon becomes nice and cosy. we highly recommend walking to the beach from the cottage itself - we saw lots of wildlife from here; herons, langoustine and otters to name a few. We were so sad to say goodbye. Great place for walking, however just be aware that things are closed until March/ April as we came in February most of the attractions were shut. Nonetheless we had an amazing time and hope to return soon. Feb 2012.

th comment: We had a fantastic holiday, and the wood burning stove was a great plus to have it nice, warm and cosy in the evenings. The house is not easy to find so you should really print the description on how to get to the house and the location of the safe-key in time. Aug 2011.

th comment: A cosy little cottage, very clean and tidy although somewhat lacking in terms of the comfort and character of the furniture and some of the interior fittings. Practical I’m sure, but they’re blandly Ikea modern and minimal rather than something that potentially might’ve been more in keeping with the wonky and rustic nature of the stone building. This detracted from the atmosphere and cosiness a little bit. Not a particularly comfortable bed! The cottage is in a wonderfully quiet position, tucked away from all traffic and any other signs of life, apart from the friendly cows. Overall an enjoyable stay. Aug 2011.

th comment: Great location with close proximity to the sea. Lovely peaceful cottage with all essential amenities. Will definately be going back! Can’t recommend highly enough! July 2011.

th comment: Simple and practical - a great base for travelling around the island. July 2011.

th comment: Great little cottage tucked away in a lovely area of Skye. The view from the hill beside the cottage was just stunning. The cows even greeted me very evening when heading back to Moo cottage. Just perfect. July 2011.

th comment: Great location with close proximity to the sea. Lovely peaceful cottage with all essential amenities. Will definately be going back! Can’t recommend highly enough! July 2011.

th comment: This cottage was fabulous - I booked it as a suprise for my partners 40th birthday as we had never been to Skye... we ended up getting engaged and hope to return for our honeymoon... the location of the cottage was perfect... we couldn’t have asked for anything better such a cosy romantic hideaway. June 2011.

Hosts very friendly and the welcome pack provided was most thoughtful. We had a fantastic week(19th-26th March) with the weather being very kind to us. Would not hesitate to use this cottage again. March 2011.

th Comment The cottage was beautifully presented and had all the items necessary for a week away. There was a lovely welcome plate of tea, coffee etc for when we arrived. Our dog was even acknowledged by there being a bowl and some chews left for him. Feb 2011.

th Comment Perfect location to get away from everything. Immaculately decorated and presented, very warm and cosy, had everything you should need. Jan 2011.
