In an elevated position with stunning views across Loch Linnhe and the surrounding mountains, this spacious detached house makes a super holiday base for touring the Highlands. Close to the Caledonion Canal and 3 miles from Fort William, the ‘outdoor capital of the UK’, it is ideal for those wishing to enjoy the wide variety of activities available. The scenery is magnificent and has been used as the backdrop for many well known films including Braveheart and Rob Roy, and a journey on the West Highland Steam Train (seasonal) takes you over the Glenfinnan Viaduct as depicted in one of the Harry Potter movies. Take a trip on the gondola up Aonach Mor, now boasting a dry ski slope, or try the World Championship mountain bike course. The area is renowned for its wildlife with golden eagles, wild deer and otters often seen. Climbing, skiing, fishing, walking, golf and a variety of water sports are also available locally. Inverness, Loch Ness, Glencoe, Oban and the Isle of Skye are easily reached. Shop 1 mile, pub 1/2 mile.

6th comment: The house was beautiful and suited us down to the ground. The furnishings were lovely and there was ample kitchen equipment which is alway a bonus. The only trouble we had was with the road noise. With the windows open it could get pretty loud but that wouldn’t stop us going back. Sept 2009.
