On the shores of Loch Duich, with outstanding views to the Five Sisters of Kintail, this comfortable holiday cottage enjoys mountain views from all the windows (and sea loch from most) and is prepared to the S.T.B.’s ‘4 Stars’ standard, featuring Sanderson fabrics. One of a pair, it enjoys a peaceful setting in its own garden, and there is river fishing on the Shiel (permits available), free loch fishing, sailing, hill walking, pony-trekking and shared use of a children’s heated covered swimming pool (150 yards away, by arrangement). Wildlife includes deer, porpoises, seals, eagles, buzzards, cormorants, herons and otters – nearby is Sandaig of Ring of Bright Water fame. Two restaurants nearby, one 300 yards. Shop 1¼ miles.

1st comment: Kintail was our first choice for a break away from work in the Highlands. The location was fantastic, bearing in mind the number one objective was to get as far away from ’modern’ civilisation as possible! Great walking, looking forward to returning in the future during the Spring/Summer weather to enjoy some boating on the Loch! Thank you. March 2012.
2nd comment: Kintail Cottage is in such a perfect spot, not too far off main road, with ease of access to and from.... A great spot for touring The Highlands as the roads are very good to drive around, as for the cottage it self, this was perfect for my Partner and myself with rom to spare, but could easily be classed as a Romantic getaway break... 6th comment: The location is perfect, the weather was very good for Scotland. The scenery was breathtaking. The care and instructions on the use of different items, e.g. the cooker, were comprehensive. I have not previously stayed in a cottage where every little detail was explained. Tell people not to be put off by lack of views, the excitement was intense as we did not know what to expect. It was beyond our wildest expectation. June 2007.
