Customer Reviews of Honey Cottage, Cairngorms - Sleeps 4-7
st comment: Well equipped, comfortable and cosy cottage. Lovely secure garden which was ideal for our dogs. Sept 2011.
nd comment: Just what we were looking for, a cottage in the middle of nowhere. Everything we needed was there, including a very good supply of logs for the wood burner. June 2011.
rd comment: Honey Cottage is a lovely warm, cosy cottage. We arrived in deep snow and the cottage was lovely and warm to walk into. The woodburner makes the lounge very welcoming and the cottage is suprisingly spacious. The surrounding area is just stunning and a lot of places of interest within an hour in all directions. We enjoyed a day skiing at the Lecht ski centre which is only 20 mins away. On the wholw a super cottage and we had no grumbles, apart from having to come home. March 2011.
th comment: High standard of fixtures and fittings. Excellent soft furnishings. Feb 2011.
th comment: Enclosed garden. Dec 2010.
th comment: Plain & simple...nothing fussy about the place. No unnecessary ornaments etc. Nov 2010.
th comment: Good size, great location and very welcoming. Oct 2010.
th comment: The owner had all the necessary household items to make it like home from home. Oct 2010.
th comment: We really liked the finish to the property and the little touches which made it very much home from home - the dog bed, the picnic basket, clocks in the bedrooms and the really lovely log stove in the sitting room. The enclosed garden was a must for us given three small children. The pegs, biscuits and enough tea bags to get you in to the property before a shopping expedition was really great. The level of cleanliness was very good in the living areas, kitchen floor challenged the kids socks a bit but it would be churlish to moan as the rest was so great. Sept 2010.
th comment: The cottage was clean, bright and well equipped. It had some nice extra touches such as a dog basket and bed for our dog, a large supply of logs for the log burning fire, all the kitchen cleaning items you could want and even liquid soap in the bathroom for your hands. Sept 2010.
th Comment Comfortable and cosy cottage. A real home from home. Sept 2010.
th Comment The cottage felt like a home from home, and reminded the whole family of the holiday cottage we used to have in Scotland. It felt lived in and loved, one or two warts and all. It was also the first cottage in which I have felt the dogs were truly welcome - the owners obviously have dogs themselves and hit just the right note when asking visitors to respect the furnishings and the needs of subsequent guests. My dogs loved the giant dog bed provided, and at least one always used it in preference to the ones we took with us. We were also amazed by the abundance of the towels, and found the beds extremely comfortable. It was very hard to leave on Saturday, and I would love to come back next year, but for two weeks if possible! Aug 2010.
th Comment Cosy, great location! June 2010.
th Comment The cottage was a lovely home away from home, and a great base from which to tour the Highlands and the Highland cattle in the field next door were very friendly. May 2010.
