A short walk from the foot of Ben Nevis, this mid-terrace holiday property has views to the mountains. Lochaber is known as the “Outdoor capital of the UK” and home to the World Championship Mountain Bike Course.
Outdoor activities include skiing, climbing, walking, fishing, mountain biking, sailing and golf. The breathtaking scenery is in the backdrop for well known films including Brave Heart and Rob Roy, whilst the West Highland Steam Train takes you across the Glenfinnan Viaduct as depicted in the Harry Potter movies.
Wildlife is in abundance and there are many castles and museums to visit. Fort William town centre is a mile away and Glencoe, Oban, Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye are easily accessible.
Shops 500 yards, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

2nd comment: Don’t be doubtful as you approach from the estate - this property has great mountain views from the front, is a few steps away from the road to the Ben Nevis path and riverside walks, but is close enough to Fort William’s restaurants that you can leave the car & walk. It’s a house not a chalet, so it feels as relaxing as being at home. It would be a particularly good base if you wanted to have a week to choose a good time to tackle Ben Nevis - as we could see, the weather up there is often a lot worse than in Fort William. June 2011.
