Customer Reviews of Forest Cottage, Ardmaddy Castle - Sleeps 6-7
1st comment: The cottage although seemingly well off the beaten track is only about 8 miles from Oban. We were so lucky with the weather - it was gorgeous all week just one wet morning - the gardener said the area has its own micro climate - which seemed very much the case when we were there. The cottage is more modern than properties we’ve stayed in before - but the log fire cosy furniture and sun lounge made the cottage comfortable and there was lots of space both inside and out to explore. The gardens were terrific with lots of short medium and long walks. The area was totally peaceful absolutely quiet just for the sound of the wildlife. The sea was a very short walk away and the views totally breathtaking - from various point within short distance of the cottage you could see a completely different landscape. My 90 year old mother loved it - access was up 2 steps which she managed with assistance - all other amenities were accessible to her. April 2012.
2nd comment: Beautiful location, excellent facilities and fabulous hosts. We could not have asked for more. Feb 2012.

4th comment: The cottage was very well equiped. Ardmaddy Estate is a wonderful place. The views from the cottage are fantastic. Very peaceful, with a lot of good walking from the door. The cottage is very comfortable and the open fire is a treat. Everyone on the estate are very friendly and helpful. Fresh veg from the garden is great and there is a freezer room full of food if you need it. We have been going there for the last five years and its a real delight to get back there. Nov 2010.
