Set in the conservation village of Ceres, only 7 miles from St Andrews, these delightful holiday cottages provide an ideal base for those wishing to enjoy the best Fife has to offer. Set in the heart of the village only 150 yards apart with generous surrounding grounds, they are perfect for two families or groups of friends to be nearby but still private. Kirkbank is a spacious stone built cottage with a bright, sunny open plan living area and roomy, carefully co-ordinated bedrooms. The garden area is sheltered with a private patio. Enjoy leisurely walks from the door or visit the Fife Folk Museum, 5 minutes walk. The National Trust mansion house, Hill of Tarvit, only 1 mile from Ceres, now offers pay and play golf over a 9 hole course using traditional hickery clubs, or enjoy the multitude of fine golf courses close by, suitable for all abilities. The village has a good pub and a hotel serving food, and the renowned Wemyss ware pottery. Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth are all within an hour’s drive. Shops and pub 100 yards. Properties 18951 and 23507 can be booked together to accommodate 9 guests.

1st comment: A very well equipped cottage/bungalow with the main bedroom on-suite and a seperate bathroom for the other two bedrooms, as well as an additional toilet off the utility room. The kitchen has everything required, like home from home. Very comfortable. To be very picky then a small chest of draws in the bedroom would be nice. There is a shop in the village open till late. June 2012.
2nd comment: Cottage was fantastic - a tumble drier would have helped due to the cold/snowy/rainy weather! March 2012.

The cottage was immaculate and had everything you would have in your own home and more. We spent a very relaxing weekend and can’t wait to go back again. I would highly recomend Curlew cottage. 8th comment: In a quiet location with the Meldrums’s hotel/pub almost at the end of the back garden - no noise issues at all. A draught beer 15 seconds from your lounge! Village has a great shop, butcher,antiques plus a (Wymss) pottery. Lovely welcome with welcome’pack’. Owners near and helpful but not in any way intrusive. A walk through the back garden down a lovely stream to the village green - great for dogs. Oct 2011.
