The beautiful, white sand Achmelvich beach and bay nearby offers the opportunity to see some of the wildlife. Lochinver is an attractive village with shops, pubs/hotels and restaurants. It has a bustling fishing port where boat trips can be arranged. The property provides a perfect centre for a fishing holiday, with over 300 freshwater lochs in the area, set within the most wild and rugged scenery of the West Highlands. Mountain biking, hill walking and, for the avid climber, the peaks of Suilven, Stac Pollaidh, Canisp, Quinag and Ben More Assynt are all within easy reach.

The Cottage location near Achmelvich beach is excellent. The cottage is very spacious and comfortable with a lovely big picture window looking down the loch and we would certainly consider returning. - august 2013
